wtf spring?!

im freezing!!

im craving warmer weather.. i made a carrot cake this morning hoping it would trick me into feeling spring but i still needed a down coat to run out for tea..

87 on saturday, really?! fingers crossed..

done.. sort of.

the actual moving in went great.. my brother and boyfriend got it all done by the time i returned the zipcar and rode the scooter back over.. i unpacked everything in the first two days (the rain helped).. we ordered some new furniture to arrive friday.. washer dryer should be installed today or tomorrow.. internet went in yesterday (can't get our airport to work so im sitting on the floor next to the modem as i type this)

one major party foul.. brodie collapsed on floor 3 of our 4 floor walk up.. turns out he is 'very very sick' (as the dr wrote in his report) at this point we're not totally sure what it is.. treating for a severe case of worms and hoping for improvements in the next two weeks or he'll have to be hospitalized (at which time this girl will be sitting down with the boyfriend to see just how far we take it.. i've always been of the mindset that i can buy a fancy new dog for 2k.. we're halfway there..)

today is day one of the move..

we load everything into a truck, sleep on an air mattress in our empty apartment tonight and move in tomorrow morning...

im not so selfish as to think my anniversary trumps earth day... rather than napping in my wedding dress all afternoon i should've really been connecting with this thing called earth.. or having a rad earth day party...

im a good little runner.. yesterday was my first race and i had my best mile average ever..

just when i wanted to start walking towards the end the people who had already finished the race had started lining up to cheer people on and i realized something,

i may not have mentioned this before but my highschool reunion is coming up..

the really superficial one where you hope everyone got fat.. 10 year.

so im starting to think about what to wear..

i generally don't care for much of what emily puts together (don't get me wrong, i'm all about her food posts) but she tweeted this the other day and i was sort of into it.. not totally sold on the back but may go with something along these lines..

that is unless i can find a cocktail-y version of carrie mulligan's oscar dress... of course.

our listing is up.. we had our first open house on sunday and have another this weekend..

we move out next saturday (as you can tell by the picture, i succeeded in getting rid of pretty much everything, so moving will be a breeze!)

i went a little nuts and made open house cookies.. i justify it as necessary because then i can gauge how many people are coming through

the thing i love about spring is its still fairly chilly out but you can definitely feel the warmth in the air.. vs fall where its still warm but the air is getting cold.. (that doesn't make any sense does it..) i've also been a bit obsessed with the cherry blossoms everywhere.. trying to figure out if i can grow a tree on my new roof deck..

the thing i don't love about spring is people sneezing..

as a non believer im not one to say 'bless you'.. i can't help but feel a little rude for not acknowledging the 1/10 orgasm someone just had in front of me but what can i say?

Cristi's Shower

knowing i had a month to practice i decided to make baby bottle cookies for my friend Cristi's shower.. it was today and they were a hit! *

and i stitched up a piece of canvas this morning in lieu of wrapping paper.. i thought it turned out nice.. and how cute is the teething toy?!

in the last week i've sold most of our furniture, had our apartment painted, packed up most of our belongings- stored them, spoken with half dozen real estate attorneys- picked one, staged the apartment for our first open house, got approved for a mortgage, baked a zillion cookies, saw an opera, AND fitnessed every day! oh and i still went to work...

i fucking rock at this housewife shit.

granted, i did go beverly on michael last night..
